La Casa del Guarda
The suite is part of the same building as the rural B&B and is located just a few metres from the main house. It is ideal for couples with children, families or groups of friends.
From the suite you can spot black vultures, griffon vultures, Egyptian vultures and golden eagles flying overhead. In front you see the ridge of the Sierra de las Corchuelas, a quartzite rock formation dating from the Quaternary and easily accessible from the house.
The bathrooms
Both bathrooms of the Casa del Guarda have windows. One with views of the mountains and the other one of the dehesa.
From my window
With views of the mountains, the sun terrace and the dehesa, you will enjoy a complete panoramic view of Las Corchuelas.
Did you know?
The esparteras are much more than blinds; they provide natural air conditioning in the country houses. Ours were hand made in Baños de Montemayor. Thanks to them you can enjoy staying in a cosy and intimate cottage in the middle of nowhere.
Climbing the sierra
In less than an hour you reach the top of the mountain range and enjoy the views of Monfragüe. It is a beautiful walk amidst rockroses and wild olive trees. Once you are up there, you will understand why the vultures and eagles have chosen this place.
