El Cordel
This room takes its name from the cattle track «El Cordel», which is part of the «cañada real» («royal track») and a magical place for hikers. It corresponds to the red route in the Monfragüe National Park guide. This route passes right in front of the house and has been used for transhumance for centuries.
Bathroom
A large, bright bathroom overlooking the dehesa and equipped with all the modern conveniences.
From my window
The room looks out on a ten-metre long vine and the garden, where fruit trees and flowers, the oriole and the nightingale live in peaceful harmony. A unique symphony of aromas and trills while the sun slowly sets over the dehesa.
Did you know?
The early 20th century English mahogany furniture and the one-piece silver mirror were a gift from my grandmother.
Sunsets
The sunsets you witness from this room – the shadow play of the clouds, the magenta and reddish colours on the horizon and the the sierra turning blue – will leave you mesmerised.
The porche
A delightful place to sit down and read during the day and the ideal place to listen to the frogs after dinner.
The dining room
Cool in the summer, warm in the winter thanks to the large granite fireplace… Overlooking the garden and the mountains. In winter time, during breakfast you may be lucky enough to take a picture of a yellowtail. At dinner, the crackling fireplace and the figures it projects on the walls dominate the room.
